NEW CHALLENGES, NEW SKILLS, NEW STRATEGIES - TOWARDS A NEW NORMAL
The Faculty of Social Sciences has been awarded a grant under the National Talent Programme of Hungary in the framework of the call for proposals "Developing innovative learning environments and implementing complex talent support programmes" launched by the Human Resources Support Agency on behalf of the Hungarian Prime Minister's Office.
The project is entitled "New Challenges, New Skills, New Strategies - Towards a New Normal. Developing business professional skills and competences in an online environment”. Project ID: NTP-INNOV-21-0049. Budget: HUF 6.793.000.
The project leader was Dr. László Kovács.
The project is a pilot for an online talent management program developed in response to the challenges encountered by businesses, which have been forced to operate online due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The aim of the project is twofold:
1) To investigate to what extent talent management can be transferred to the online space; and to what extent project-style, real-life business tasks can be solved by small teams in a virtual environment.
2) We show students involved in the project, how digital trends impact the employees of today and of the near future.
Through the project, students will hear presentations on how the business sector has responded to the coronavirus outbreak, and will participate in trainings and workshops to acquire new competences and skills needed to communicate and work in an online business environment.
The main areas of the presentations and workshops are:
1) The impact of the coronavirus epidemic on the functioning of business organisations
2) Adaptation and resilience: possible responses and strategies to crisis situations
3) Challenges for employees in the digital transition
4) Developing online skills and competences
The project is organised online. The project involves academics from several universities and business professionals from different fields.
